Weston of Mexico City, Mexico, back in the late 1940’s to early 1970’s.  This is often referred to as the 6″ Walker by Weston collectors, as Weston made miniature Walkers in four different scales, this being the second to largest.  6” long overall with a 3 3/8″ part round part octagon barrel of about .16 caliber.  The piece is fully functional, and will fire with the included original Weston percussion caps and lead bullets.  You only need supply the powder.  The top barrel flat is marked “ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW YORK CITY”.  The left side of the barrel lug, the left side of the frame, and the bottom of the gripstrap are marked “A COMPANY No 30”.  The bottom rear of the barrel, the bottom front of the frame, and the bottom front of the triggerguard stamped with the number “30”.  The right side of the barrel lug marked “US” and “1847” in two lines just above the wedge. Checkered hammer spur, the hammer has both half and full cock.  The cylinder with the typical round cylinder stop notches without approaches.  The piece is made of steel, which has been rust blued except for the case colored hammer & trigger, the gold plated brass triggerguard, and the yellow brass blade front sight.  The grips are one piece ivory with a high relief carved American eagle with shield on the left side.  The shield decorated with an U.S. flag motif, and the grips showing a nice aged patina and a beautiful grain.  The piece is 100% mechanically functional, and shows 99+% of the original rust blue finish.  Accessories include a brass Colt Walker powder flask with the usual crossed flags, cannon, crossed Paterson rifles, & crossed Paterson revolvers.  The flask has the proper two triangular hanging rings, and the bullet compartment which contains lead conical balls.  The lid to the ball compartment swivels on a screw & is marked “COLT’S PATENT”.  The bullet mold is blued steel with three legs including the sprue cutter, & cast a single conical ball.  The sprue cutter is stamped “COLT’S PATENT” in a two line oval, & the left side is stamped “44”.  The included blue steel combination tool nipple wrench, screwdriver, and mainspring vise.  The original Weston hinged top case is made of mahogany with a varnished finish & has a push button latch.  The interior is French fit & lined in red kid goat leather, with the interior lid being padded.  The lid has a “pocket” that holds the Colt directions for loading printed on photographic paper.  The case has two compartments with turned brass knobs.  The larger compartment at the right rear contains a nice quantity of proper cast lead conical balls.  The smaller rectangular compartment on the left side contains two gelatin capsules, one containing five spare nipples and the other a quantity of original percussion caps.  The caps are not guaranteed to fire as most have oxidized.  The revolver is in 99+% condition, showing only a faint drag mark on the cylinder.  The accessories are also in 99+% condition.  The case is in excellent condition, having been protected by the brown pigskin leather outer case, & shows only a few minor handling marks.  The leather case lined internally in green suede leather, & is in excellent condition.  This is one of the the finest condition, & most complete Weston 1/3 scale Colt Walker set I have ever seen in my 30 years in the business.  The capsules with the percussion caps & spare nipples are nearly always missing.  A rare opportunity to purchase a truly top notch miniature the likes of which you may wait a lifetime to ever see again!!!  Stock # BK-18.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
