Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/2 scale BelMex 2mm rimfire single shot derringer pistol made by the legendary Tom P. Weston of Mexico City, Mexico, probably made from the mid 1940’s to early 1970’s.  2 3/16″ long overall with a 1 1/4″ barrel of about .075 caliber.  Fire blue finish except for the trigger & hammer which are case colored.  Two piece ivory grips with yellow brass escutcheons and a single screw entering from the left side, the ivory with a nice mellow aged patina & showing some nice grain.  Serrated hammer spur & trigger.  Complete with the original Weston red hinged top clam shell cardboard box with push button latch.  The outside of the box covered in red felt.  The interior bottom lined in a burgundy velour with 2 loops, one for the barrel and one for the included pill capsule containing 10 of the 2mm rimfire blank cartridges.  The interior lid lined in an off white silk, and marked “WESTON REFORMA, REFORMA No. 157, MEXICO 5 D.F., MODELO  Cal., BELMEX 2mm”, in five lines.  This is only the third time I have seen this exact interior lid label.  Also includes the original ivory handled blue cleaning/extractor rod with brass ferrule & a bore brush with twisted wire handle.  The pistol shows 99.9%  original fire blue, and shows no signs of having been handled or shot.  The box is in near perfect condition except for some pencil marking on the bottom.     Stock # BK-14.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
