Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 40% scale miniature “Salesman’s Sample” saddle made by master leathersmith Tad Mizwa of Leona, Texas. The saddle is about 18 3/4″ tall, 12″ wide, and 16″ front to back, sitting on it’s wooden display stand. The saddle is profusely hand carved & tooled in a floral pattern. Beautiful scale stitching. The top of the saddle horn tooled CH for Charleston Heston. The saddle marked in three places with Tad’s maker’s mark. Includes a braided rawhide reata. Also included is a 1/2 scale miniature “Will Penny” cowboy hat made by Rand’s Custom Hatters in Billings, Montana. The brim of the hat is hand autographed in black sharpie by Charleston Heston. I know it is real because I was there when he signed it! I don’t know anything about saddles, But I did know Tad, & I do know great leather work. This is an exceptional piece even without the Charleston Heston provenance. I’ll let the photos do the talking. An absolute breathtaking piece and sure to be the centerpiece of any miniature collection! Stock # MM-4. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
