!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/2 scale 1872 Swiss Chamelot-Delvigne 10.4mm rim fire double action ordnance revolver by the esteemed master miniature firearms maker Leon Crottet of Switzerland.  Mr. Crottet is one of the two finest miniature craftsmen to ever walk the planet earth, equaled only by Raymond E. Hutchens of Indiana.  Mr. Crottet’s miniatures are perfection personified, they are simply flawless!  No effort was spared in making his miniatures the finest ever made possible!  The rifling has the proper number of lands & grooves, to the proper width & depth, and the proper twist.  All parts that are supposed to be hardened are!  The polish & finish of the metal is to scale & perfect!!!  5 1/2″ long overall with a 2 7/16″ rifled octagon barrel.  Machined steel construction with hand checkered two piece walnut grips with escutcheon on the right side only, and a single screw entering from the right side.  The nut on the opposite grip is blind.  The attention to the finish before blueing is just one of the many tedious details that were implemented perfectly.  The frame and butt cap are case hardened, not case colored, resulting in a gray colored finish.  The finish on most of the larger pieces like the cylinder & barrel is a rust blue, a very time consuming and tedious process taking several weeks if not months to do properly.  Smaller parts such as the top of the hammer, loading gate, lanyard ring stud, lanyard ring, ejector rod button, ejector rod release, and screws, are highly polished & nitre blued.  The trigger and ejector rod are straw/bronze case hardened.  Dovetailed front sight.  “U” notch rear sight integral with the top rear of the frame.  The hammer spur, the top of the loading gate, & the top of the ejector rod release are serrated.  The top of the barrel near the frame stamped with a cross with double crossbars in a depressed oval.  The left side of the frame just ahead of the cylinder marked “PIRLOT FRERES, A LEIGE” in two lines reading from bottom to top.  The right barrel flat stamped with a crown over a “G”.  The lower right front of the frame stamped with a crown over “G”, and “CD” over “S” in an oval circle reading with the muzzle vertical.  The bottom of the barrel marked 1/5, indicating this is serial number one of a series of five.  Mr. Crottet usually limited his miniatures to a maximum of five pieces.  The three major frame screws are spanner type screws with slots at each end, but not the middle, and taking a very special spanner screwdriver, not the usual slotted type.  The hammer has both half & full cock, and the loading gate hinges to the rear, not to the right side like a Colt SAA.  Complete with the original Crottet hinged top black Moroccan leather covered casing with slide latch.  The interior French fit and lined in an olive green felt.  Accessories include a brass bore cleaning brush, a brass cloth patch cleaning jag, and a combination cleaning handle for the cleaning brush & jag that has as the handle two different thicknesses of slotted screwdriver blades.  Also included are twelve rounds of live miniature Swiss 10.4mm rim fire ammunition with copper cases, & lead bullets.  The cases are not machined on a lathe, they are drawn brass cases, starting from round copper disc cut from a sheet of copper, & then run through a series of dies to make the final cartridge case, just like all modern ammunition!  Near perfect, new, as made condition in all respects!  Again, if you desire only the very best, then here it is!  Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity on this fantastic miniature Crottet Swiss revolver set.  From the miniature firearms collection of Joseph Kramer.  One of only two known in the U.S., the other in a double cased set also belonging to Joseph Kramer, along with a 1872/1878 Swiss 10.4mm center fire ordnance revolver, and shown on page 119 of Joseph Kramer’s book “Scale Miniature Firearms”.  Mint new as made condition.  Stock # DB-07.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
