Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/4 scale Kentucky or Pennsylvania rifle made by master miniature maker Stanley Blashak of Pennsylvania.  14 13/16″ long overall with a 10 1/16″ .12 caliber octagon barrel with a browned finish.  The barrel is bored through to the touch hole.  Brass dovetailed front blade sight, browned sporting rear sight.  The lock assembly is also browned.  The rifle has both half & full cock, & both work perfectly after my minor repair.  The action is very crisp.  The barrel is pinned to the stock by three pins with German silver escutcheons on each side.  The ramrod thimbles, triggerguard, buttplate, patchbox, patchbox door, nose cap, & sideplate are yellow brass.  The patchbox, patchbox door, and side plate are nicely hand engraved.  There is a German silver oval inlaid into the top of the stock just behind the barrel tang.  The left side of the stock inlaid with a German silver spread winged eagle on the cheekpiece, and what looks like a pair of wings just below.  The patchbox door is spring loaded and released by a small button at the bottom rear of the buttplate.  The stock is beautiful fiddleback maple with extensive high relief carving to the left wrist and right side of the stock  There are some nice fluted lines along each side of the ramrod channel.  The ramrod looks to be hickory, and has a brass tip.  Cased in a typical Stanley Blashak walnut hinged top case, French fit, & lined in a dark red felt.  There are two empty compartments with walnut lids and knobs.  Accessories include a steel bullet mold with sprue cutter, finished in the white, that cast one round ball, a brass bag shaped powder flask, a walnut (maybe cherry) handled screwdriver, and a walnut (also maybe cherry) handled brush.  Excellent near mint condition showing only the most minor signs of handling.  Stock # DD-05.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
