This is a 1/3 scale flintlock Bowie knife pistol by master miniature maker Stanley Blashak of New Castle, Pennsylvania. 5 1/16″ long overall with a 2 7/16″ Bowie knife blade with a false edge on the top, 1 1/16″ part round part octagon cannon muzzle barrel of about .08 caliber. The blade, barrel, hammer, frizzen, top jaw, & trigger are steel, finished in the white. The furniture is very beautifully and ornately engraved German silver with a shell type guard on the right side, and a gorgeous eagle head pommel. The hammer has both half and full cock. Two piece ivory handles with a beautiful scrimshaw design on both sides, a nice visible grain, and a beautiful old aged patina . Complete with the original Blashak walnut hinged top casing with the typical rotating latch. The case interior French fit and lined in a forest green velour with a red border. The pistol is in mint condition. The case top shows some very minor handling marks and some sticker glue residue on the bottom, otherwise the exterior is near mint. I have never seen one of these by Stanley before, & I believe this to be one of his better pieces, just look at the precision of the handle screws! Stock # FC-1. Price Reduced: $2,250.00.
