Project Description

Returned to Consignor.  This is a 1/4 scale Imperial German navy Luger made by Stan Stanek in the Czech Republic about 2000. 2 11/16″ long overall with a 1 7/16″ barrel. 100% fully functional! Unlike the 1/4 scale Lugers made by Alex Baez & Hersch Kopp, who made theirs of either cast silver or gold, this one is all machined steel! Blue finish with straw colored small parts just like the full sized Lugers. Un-checkered highly figured walnut grips with a single screw at the bottom on each side. Complete with three solid brass dummy cartridges that when cycled through the action manually will feed, chamber, extract, and eject. Complete with the original Stanek hinged top mahogany casing with two flip latches. The interior French fit and lined in a russet felt. Excellent original condition showing just some minor blue wear on the sharp edges. An unbelievable piece of work by a guy whose main profession is a musician! To put this into perspective, 1/2 scale is 8 times more difficult than full size, 1/3 is 27 times, 1/4 is 64 times more difficult! Tolerances on a full size Luger may be +/- .003, on a 1/4 scale miniature they may be +/- .0001. We’re talking a ten thousandth of an inch!!!  Returned to Consignor.
