Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is an antique 2mm pinfire revolver probably made in Germany in the mid to late 1800’s. Unlike most you will see, this is a solid frame revolver, meaning it has a top strap over the cylinder. In researching this piece in Bob Urso’s and Dr. John Cooper’s books, I could not find one with this exact type frame. Most solid frame revolvers have a loading gate on the right side. this example has none, and has never had one. 1 13/16″ long overall with a 11/16″ barrel. Nickel plated steel construction. Beautifully aged two piece ivory bag style grips with a single screw entering from the left side. Condition wise, this example is missing the ramrod, the trigger return spring does not work, and there is a small crack on the left side of the frame behind & below the cylinder. The revolver works properly in both single and double action with a little forward pressure on the trigger when cocking in single action, and the trigger must be push forward after shooting in single action. A very very rare piece! !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
