Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a set of 4 1/8 scale sterling silver long arms complete with the original display stand. Included are 1 semi-automatic rifle resembling a Browning, an over/under shotgun, a sisde by side hammer shotgun, and a side by side hammerless shotgun. Three of the four are marked “.925” in a depressed oval along with “* 175 AR” in a depressed oval. For whatever reason the 4th one is not marked. The .925 marking depicts sterling silver composition, the other marks probably identifying the maker. I was told these were made in Italy, but I can’t verify that. The rifle measures 5 7/8″ long. The 3 shotguns all measure about 6 1/8″ long. Total weight of the 4 is 7.5 ounces. The rifle has a sliding bolt & the 3 shotguns will break down by pivoting the take down lever. All look to be jeweler made, cast by the lost wax method. All 4 pieces have an aged patina, & I’d guess them to be made in the 60’s or 70’s as a nice desk decoration. They are all in near mint condition as made. The display stands looks to be walnut & is in near mint condition as well. All four are nicely detailed with cast in checkering on the stocks. These are very similar to two pieces I sold about 3 years ago that were made by or for Abercrombie & Fitch, but those were only 800 fine or coin silver, whereas these are .925 fine or Sterling silver. The perfect gift for that sportsman or gun collector who has everything! !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
