!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/2 scale miniature brass sextant made by Ross of London. I don’t know anything about sextants, but I’ll describe it as best I can. The photos should tell the story. The sextant is made entirely of yellow brass except for the inlaid, what I think is platinum, scale, and the glass lenses. It measures about 4 15/16″ X 4 3/8″ X 2 7/16″. It is marked “ROSS LONDON”. The lenses are all intact. There are several areas of corrosion, that should clean up with a minimal amount of work. The screw at what I call the top, going through the place where the name is, is bent. It looks to be complete with no missing parts. Complete with the original hinged top walnut casing with brass corner hardware and swinging latch. The top with an inlaid triangular brass escutcheon. The interior top & bottom lined in an obviously aged green felt. I have no idea how old this is, but it looks to be antique. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
