!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/2 scale Stevens “Gem” side swing single shot derringer made by master miniature maker Ron DeWalt of Michigan. This miniature pistol is chambered for and will shoot the 4mm rimfire cartridge. 3 5/8″ long overall with a 1 9/16″ rifled barrel of about .180 caliber. Yellow brass frame, the balance of the metal parts machined steel with a blue finish with the exception of the hammer & trigger which are case hardened, and the barrel release which is finished in the white. Yellow brass front bead type sight. The hammer has both half and full cock, and must be brought to half cock to swing the barrel open to load. Two piece ivory grips with no escutcheons and a single screw entering from each side. Complete with the original DeWalt mahogany “Chinese puzzle box” glass topped casing. The interior French fit and lined in a red velvet. The interior bottom with a rectangular engraved black plaque which states: “MINIATURE, STEVENS GEM, POCKET PISTOL”. The bottom of the case with a round white sticker which reads “PK050”. The bottom of the case stamped “RON DEWALT, 1994” in two lines which would leave me to believe this piece was made by Ron in 1994. Also includes three rounds of live 4mm rimfire ammunition. Excellent near mint condition showing only a little wear on the left side of the hammer where it enters the frame. Stock # ES-19. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
