Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/3 scale Webley “Premier” single lever cock air pistol by master miniature maker Ron DeWalt of Michigan, probably made about 30 – 35 years ago.  2 7/8″ long overall with a 2 7/32″ smoothbore barrel of .063 caliber.  Steel construction with a blued finish.  Two piece walnut grips with a single blue secured by a single blued screw on each side.  There is a thumb lever on the left side that releases the barrel to be tilted forward & back to cock the pistol & charge the air cylinder.  The thumb pad on that lever is stippled.  The rear portion of the barrel is checkered.  The left side of the air chamber pantograph engraved “THE WEBLEY PREMIER, MADE IN ENGLAND”  in two lines.  The link between the barrel and air chamber marked “DEWALT”, visible when the lever is cocked forward.  Fully functional & will shoot the included steel shot.  I did not shoot one, but there is a good amount of air from the barrel when cocked & fired.  Includes the original DeWalt puzzle box glass topped walnut case, the interior bottom French fit & lined in a red felt.  There is a walnut bowl holding a number of the proper steel shot.  Near mint condition, showing some fading & browning to the cold blue finish.  One the finest pieces Mr. DeWalt ever made in my opinion!  This exact piece featured in the book “The Art of Miniature Firearms – Centuries of Craftsmanship” on page 197.  Stock # MC-13.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
