!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/2 scale U.S. 1841 Mississippi percussion rifled musket by master miniaturist Ron DeWalt. 23 1/2″ long overall with a 16 1/2″ round rifled barrel of .22 caliber. This is the later 1855 improved version with the bayonet lug for a sword bayonet. All machined steel construction. Browned barrel & sling swivels. Brass furniture. Fire blued rear sight, bayonet lug, band springs, & screws. The lock assembly with a gray case hardened finish, the hammer spur checkered. One piece straight grained walnut stock with an oil finish. The hammer has both half & full cock with a crisp action. Brass blade type front sight. The top rear of the barrel marked “US, P” in two lines. The left rear side of the barrel marked “DEWALT”. The top of the buttplate marked “US”. Full length steel ramrod finished in the white with a brass tip. Nicely made dark brown sling. There is also an extra nipple in the patchbox. Near mint new condition with a bright shiny bore and just one small bruise on the right side of the stock about an inch back from the barrel band. According to the previous owner, this is the only 1841 Harper’s Ferry Mississippi rifled musket that Ron made. Ron had made it on special order for his dad. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
