!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/2 scale 4mm rimfire Southener single shot derringer with bag type grip made by master miniaturist Ron DeWalt.  3 3/16″ long overall with a 2″ rifled barrel of .179 caliber.  Black blued finish barrel.  Fire blued barrel release, screws, & pins.  Case colored hammer & trigger.  Brass frame, gripstraps, & front sight.  The top of the barrel marked “SOUTHENER”.  The left side of the barrel marked “BROWN MFG. CO., NEWBURYPORT, MASS., PAT. APR 9, 1869.  The bottom of the breech end of the barrel marked “DEWALT”, only visible when the barrel is swung sideways to load.  The hammer has both half & full cock, & the hammer must be brought back to half cock to open the barrel.  The hammer spur is serrated.  Two piece ivory grips with a single securing screw on each side.  Complete with the original DeWalt walnut puzzle box case with glass top.  The interior bottom lined in red velour.  Includes a brass ejector/cleaning rod.  Near mint new condition showing virtually no signs of handling or wear.  Ex Kennith Whichard collection with his inventory tag on the bottom of the case.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
