This is a 1/3 scale U.S. Model 1816 Simeon North flintlock martial pistol by master miniature maker Robin Armstrong of England. 4 15/16″ long overall with a 2 7/8″ smoothbore barrel of about .187 caliber. All metal parts are steel construction finished in the white except for the flash pan which is brass. The top left rear of the barrel near the tang marked “P over US” reading vertically. The lockplate marked S. NORTH, U S, MIDLTN CONN” in a circle, all surrounding a Federal spread winged eagle with shield, arrows, & olive branch. The markings are all perfectly photo etched. The hammer with both half and full cock, and a very crisp action. Straight grain one piece American walnut stock. Hickory ramrod with a steel tip that has a slot for cleaning patches. Complete with the original Armstrong medium brown leather covered hinged top casing with push button latch. The interior bottom French fit and covered in a green velour. The interior top padded and covered in a green silk which is marked in gold leaf with the Armstrong coat of arms and the maker’s name. Mint “as new” condition.
