This is a 1/3 scale U.S. 1805 Harper’s Ferry flintlock martial pistol by master miniature maker Robin Armstrong of England. 5 3/8″ long overall with a 3 11/32″ smoothbore barrel of about .185 caliber. Steel barrel, trigger, lock assembly, wedge, and screws are finished in the white. Yellow brass buttcap, triggerguard, sideplate, rear ramrod thimble, and front stock band. The left rear of the barrel marked “901 over a raised US in a depressed oval over a raised eagle head over a raised P in a depressed oval”. The lockplate has a spread winged Federal eagle with shield, arrows, & olive branches just ahead of the hammer, & is marked “HARPER’S, FERRY, 1807” behind the hammer. The hammer with both half and full cock with a crisp action. Hickory ramrod with brass fittings on each end. Straight grain one piece American walnut stock. Complete with the original Armstrong medium brown leather covered hinged top casing with push button latch. The interior bottom French fit and covered in a dark green velour. The interior top padded and covered in a medium green silk which is marked in gold with the Armstrong coat of arms and the maker’s name. Mint “as new” condition. Robin is one of the finest miniature makers to ever walk the planet!!! This is in my opinion one of the prettiest & most graceful of all the early US martial pistols.
