!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/3 scale 1855 Springfield percussion pistol carbine with Maynard tape priming mechanism by master miniature maker Robin Armstrong of England. The pistol measures 5 15/16″ long overall with a 4″ rifled barrel of .202 caliber. 9 3/4″ long with the stock attached. The barrel, lock with Maynard tape primer assembly, hammer, backstrap, rear sights, front sight, ramrod, ramrod swivel, barrel band spring, lanyard ring, sling swivels, stock mounts, and screws are steel finished in the white. The triggerguard, nosecap, barrel band, gripcap, stock yoke, and stock buttplate are brass. All markings have been expertly and perfectly photo etched including the barrel proof marks. Very fine grained American walnut stock and buttstock with an oil finish. Fully functional, but non-firing, as is typical of most British makers, the barrel is not drilled through to the nipple. Complete with the original Robin Armstrong tan leather hinged top casing with push button latch. The interior bottom lined in a dark green velour, the interior top lined in a lighter green silk with the makers name and crest marked in gold. The pistol and stock are in mint as new condition. The case has a four small scuffs on the top. Robin Armstrong is one of the finest makers to ever walk the planet. This is the first one of these I’ve been able to offer for sale in many many years!
