!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/2 scale Colt 1851 Navy revolver made by master gunsmith & miniature firearms craftsman Peter Dyson of England, probably in the 1970’s.  This was made by hand, old school, & is all done with manually operated machinery & hand tools.  This was made long before Uberti in Italy started making miniatures & uses no castings like the similar miniatures made by Uberti.  6 1/4″ long overall with a 3 15/32″ rifled octagon barrel of .177 caliber.  Solid steel construction except for the brass triggerguard & front sight, & the solid silver “Tiffany” style grip.  Beautifully hand ingraved & gold wire inlaid by master engraver Allen Cootsmen of Belgium.  The bottom rear of the barrel & the bottom front of the frame engraved with the serial # “001”.  The top barrel flat engraved “Saml (with the L raised & underlined) Colt”.  The bottom front of the triggerguard engraved “36 CAL”.  One piece solid silver “Tiffany” style grip showing soldiers with flags in an oval panel on the left side and a horse mounted soldier in an oval panel on the right side.   Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship by both Mr. Dyson & Mr. Cootsmen!  Included is a beautiful display case with oak bottom, a stand with Plexiglass uprights & mirrored, bottom, an ivory handled cleaning rod, and a beveled glass mirrored back glass enclosure.  Stock # WD-3196.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
