OCTOBER 16, 1860” in two lines.  The top tang engraved “MODEL 1876”.  Dovetailed front sight with a German silver blade & sporting step adjustable dovetailed rear sight.  This rifle took several years to complete, and only the very best craftsmen in their fields ever touched it.   Includes a beautiful walnut hinged top case with two key locks, there are keys included, but they do not work.  The case top has an inlaid brass lifting ring.  The interior is French Fit & lined in a purple felt.  An absolutely spectacular piece, and one of the finest miniature Winchester rifles I have ever had the pleasure to offer for sale.  Mike made very few of these 1876 miniature Winchesters.  99%+ condition.  Formerly in the Frank Brownell collection.  The photos tell the real story!!!  Stock # WD-1046.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
