!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a one-of-a-kind double cased set of 1/3 scale and 1/2 scale Colt number 5 “Texas” Paterson revolvers with accessories made by Miniart in Moscow, Russia. The set includes a fully functional 1/3 and 1/2 scale Colt number 5 “Texas” Patterson percussion five shot revolver with a complete compliment of accessories for each. The accessories include a copper & brass five spout powder flask, a walnut handled bullet mold, a capper, a walnut handled cleaning rod, and the unique Colt Paterson loading tool. The hinged top walnut case with push button latch has a beautifully carved top with silver wire inlays.
The 1/3 Scale Paterson:
This is a 1/3 scale Colt “Texas” Paterson percussion revolver made by Miniart in Moscow, Russia. 4 1/8″ long overall with a 2 1/2″ octagon barrel of about .112 caliber. Unlike the Larry Smith miniature Colt Patersons, this miniature is 100% fully functional. Machined steel with a high polish blue finish. The cylinder rotates, indexes, lines up correctly, and the trigger drops down into position when the hammer is cocked. This miniature will shoot if you can find the proper percussion caps and lead bullets! The hammer has both half and full cock, and has a checkered hammer spur. One piece straight grained walnut grip. Includes a functional copper & brass 5 spout powder flask; a spare cylinder; a functional single cavity bullet mold with sprue cutter and walnut handles; a combination tool which is a screwdriver, loading lever, nipple wrench, & nipple pick; a fully functional brass capper with embossed copper lid; and a walnut handled cleaning rod with jagged end. Mint new condition. The flask and capper with a nice aged patina.
The 1/2 Scale Paterson:
This is a 1/2 scale Colt “Texas” Paterson percussion revolver made by Miniart in Moscow, Russia. 6 3/8″ long overall with a 3 3/4″ barrel of about .18 caliber.Machined steel with a high polish blue finish. The cylinder rotates, indexes, lines up correctly, and the trigger drops down into position when the hammer is cocked. This miniature will shoot if you can find the proper percussion caps and lead bullets! The hammer has both half and full cock, and has a checkered hammer spur. One piece straight grained walnut grip. The Case:
Hinged top walnut case with a push button latch. The top of the case high relief carved with the Rampant Colt horse logo and crossed Paterson pistols in a circle in the center, flanked on either side by high relief carved panels with scrolls and leaves. The top of the case bordered with a silver wire inlay. Above the Colt logo inlaid in silver wire is “COLTS PATENT”. Below the logo inlaid in silver wire is “PATENT ARMS MANG CO PATERSON. N.J.” The case interior is French fit and lined in a Burgundy velour. The case is truly a work of art in and of itself!
This is a beautiful one-of-a-kind set in a magnificent case, and worthy of even the most advanced collections.
