!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is what I believe to be an arsenal made WWI miniature French 75mm howitzer, probably made in the early 1900’s. Unbelievable detail and workmanship! 12″ long overall with a 7 1/2″ barrel with an interrupted screw breech. 4 1/2″ in diameter wheels. Brass & steel construction with most of the parts painted olive drab green. This miniature cannon features a telescopic sight, brakes, and the recoil mechanism. The bottom and top of the shield fold. On the back side of the shield are non-functional leather cases for holding binoculars, a telescope, and tools. There is something missing on the top right rear of the shield, and there is a tiny hex nut missing off part of the telescope elevation mechanism. The interrupted screw breech is functional, but needs a little tweaking to close and lock properly. There is some minor paint loss, otherwise the piece is in excellent condition considering it’s age. Miniature cannons of this age and complexity are a rare find! !!!!SOLD!!!!
