Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a miniature shooting muzzle loading civil war era howitzer project. The work done so far is absolutely top notch. Who ever started this knew what he was doing & had some serious skills! The turned steel barrel measures 8 7/8″ long, 3″ in diameter at it’s widest points, has a 1 3/8″ bore, and 7/8″ trunions. The trail is made of 7/8″ thick oak, and is held together with what looks to be 10-24 threaded studs with washers and square nuts. The trunions are mounted in sleeves. The four handled elevation screw is there, but no elevation wedge. The trail measures 23 3/16″ long. Overall length is 24 1/4″. All this really needs is the trunion caps, the axle, wheels, and some finish work, & you’ll have a really coll firing miniature howitzer. Oh, by the way, this thing is heavy, weighs about 15 pounds! !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
