!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a miniature sword made in Solingen Germany and inscribed to Admiral Tom Ponce. Admiral Tom Ponce was the European alter ego to America’s General Tom Thumb. 13 3/8″ long overall with a 9 7/8″ steel blade. The blade 9/16″ wide and 1/8″ thick at the guard. Big yellow brass guard with loop. Decorative cast brass pommel. The left side of the blade decoratively scroll engraved and marked Audenken aus Solingen with an engraved trident to the left of Solingen. The right side of the blade scroll engraved with a sailing ship near the guard. The middle of the blade engraved Admiral Tom Ponce, with another line that I can’t make out underneath. Toward the tip is an engraved fowled anchor and more engraving. Good condition, the blade dark with some staining, but no really noticeable pitting. the guard and pommel with a nice aged mellow mustard yellow patina. The wood grip showing some age, but in overall good condition. No scabbard. Extremely well made, as you would expect of a Solingen made blade. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
