!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/7 scale Soviet Goryunov SG-43 air cooled belt fed machine gun on a Solokov wheeled mount made by Miniart in Moscow, Russia about 25 years ago. This is one of the first miniatures made by Miniart. There are three different models, and they made three of each. These were originally sold in sets of three. This is the first set to become available on the secondary market since they were initially sold, and I am breaking up the set at the consignor’s request. These miniature machine guns are just amazing. They are very tiny, very complex, yet they are 100% “All There”, and 100% fully functional! These were made with the same precision and attention to detail as their larger models. This exact miniature is pictured on page 130 of the book “The Art of Miniature Firearms – Centuries of Craftsmanship”, and is of course the one on the left. The gun itself is 6 1/4″ long overall including the flash suppressor. The barrel is 4 1/16″ long, again, including the flash suppressor. Overall length including the trail is 8 1/4″. The barrel is fluted and has a carry handle with two piece walnut grips. The charging handle also has two piece walnut grips, and the spade grip handles are walnut. Adjustable rear sight and the front sight has a protective shroud. The gun, along with the traverse and elevation mechanisms are blue steel. The carriage is steel and painted an olive drab green. The wheels have OD green painted steel hubs & wood spokes, with the tires steel finished in the white. When the operating handle is used to cock the action, you can then depress the trigger and hear the gun dry fire. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase one of these little jewels!
