This is a 1/4 scale miniature Model 1910 Russian “Snow” Maxim medium machine gun made by Miniart in Russia in 1994. This thing is just unbelievable and just gets better the more you look at it!!! Measures 15 1/4″ long overall with a 7 3/8″ barrel and 2 15/16″ diameter wood spoke wheels. The finish is white paint, blue steel, and bright in the white steel. 100% fully functional, & I mean everything works, elevation, traverse, the firing mechanisms, everything! The fit, finish, & detail of this miniature will blow you away. The top of each grip handle unscrews to reveal a cleaning brush. There were a total of 15 of these Maxims made of which 7 were the white snow Maxims with the snow cap & fluted water jackets shown here, 1 green Maxim with the snow cap & fluted water jacket, 5 olive drab Maxims with no snow cap & the fluted water jacket, and 2 olive drab Maxims with no snow cap & smooth water jackets. The snow Maxims have a large lid on top of the water jacket secured with a bail type latch. This was so that snow or ice could be put into the cooling jacket when temperatures were below freezing. So, this is only one of seven of this model ever made by Miniart, about 25 years ago. This example has been off the market for well over 20 years. It is in almost mint perfect condition with just a couple of tiny handling mark chips in the white paint. The blue steel absolutely mint. Absolutely one of the finest miniature firearms to ever come out of Russia with over 170 parts! I have this Miniart snow Maxim in my small personal collection because I think it is one of the best miniatures every made, by anyone, anywhere, in any time period! From my personal miniature collection! Price: $6,500.00.
