Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/2 scale U.S. M-1 paratrooper carbine made by Miniart in Moscow, Russia about 20 years ago. 21″ long overall including the bayonet with the stock extended, 17 3/4″ long overall with the bayonet removed, 12 5/8″ long overall with the bayonet removed and the stock folded, 9″ round barrel of about .15 caliber. Gray Parkerized steel finish. Straight grained walnut stock, handguard, and pistol grip with an oil finish. The top rear of the receiver just over the rear of the chamber laser engraved “U.S. CARBINE, CAL .30 M1” in two lines. The top of the barrel just behind the front sight laser engraved with a flaming bomb. The serial number 004 laser engraved into the top rear of the receiver just behind the rear sight, the rear bottom of the 20 round magazine, and the right side of the bayonet blade near the guard. Windage and elevation adjustable micrometer rear sight, standard blade front sight with protective ears on each side. The steel on the bayonet is blued, the handle made out of wood and stained a very dark brown. Includes three rounds of solid yellow brass dummy cartridges that will feed, chamber, extract, and eject when manually cycled through the action. Also includes a olive drab green cloth web sling and a two piece steel oiler made by Jerry Missimer of Pennsylvania. There are some scratches on the butt of the bayonet, on the bolt from cycling, on the magazine where it has been installed & removed, and on the left side of the stock where the buttplate has rubbed it, otherwise this piece is in excellent condition, I’d call it 98%. Very few of these paratrooper carbines were made, and even fewer came with the bayonet. This is a really scarce Miniart miniature! !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
