This is a 1/2 scale DWM P-08 Luger made by Miniart in Moscow Russia. 4 3/8″ long overall with a 1 7/8″ barrel of about .172 caliber. Blue steel construction except for some of the small parts which are properly straw colored. The two piece checkered grips are secured by a single screw at the bottom of each side. The serial number “015” stamped into the left front of the slide. 15 is stamped into the removable left sideplate, the front of the frame under the barrel, the rear of the toggle assembly, behind the rear sight, & the top of the toggle assembly behind the logo. “1912” stamped into the top front of the upper receiver just behind the barrel. The top of the toggle stamped with the intertwined DWM logo. The round part of the toggles and the takedown lever are checkered. The top of the safety lever is serrated. The sheet steel magazine is finished in the white with an aluminum bottom and blue steel follower. The rear of the grip frame is cut for a detachable shoulder stock, no stock is included. Fully functional, and includes three solid steel dummy cartridges that will feed, chamber, extract, & eject when manually cycled through the action. This piece initially had the straw parts blued when received from Miniart. The piece was then upgraded by master gunsmith Paul Gauffin, who re-contoured and straw colored the small parts, and also added serial numbers to parts that Miniart did not number. This is one of only a handful of Paul’s re-worked ones I’ve ever been been able to offer for sale. I had never seen a Miniart DWM P-08 Luger until I bought the first two from Paul Gauffin, & I thought I had seen every miniature Luger made by Miniart, I mean every individual one!!! The Miniart P-08 Lugers are usually marked with the Erfurt or Krieghoff maker markings. Only about 25 Krieghoff Lugers were ever made, and there were about 100 of the Erfurt Lugers made. The Krieghoff P-08 Lugers had the backstraps cut for a shoulder stock, but none ever came with one to my knowledge. Also includes a miniature Luger manual. This is a super rare Miniart Luger variation, one of only three known to me! Mint new condition. $2,100.00.
