Project Description
This started life as a Miniart 1/2 scale Colt “Texas” Paterson revolver. Someone unknown to me has shortened the barrel, added the Ehlers loading lever, & rounded off the rear of the cylinder, I think to make it look like a later pocket model Paterson. The workmanship on the alterations is excellent. Most of the original blue is still intact except for the rear of the cylinder & the barrel muzzle. The Ehlers loading lever is still in the white. 4 3/4″ long overall with a 2 1/8″ octagon barrel of .181 caliber. The hammer has both half & full cock. One piece ivory grip showing some very nice grain & just a touch of age patina. No markings. Checkered hammer spur. The hole for the front sight is drilled, but the sight is missing, & the trigger does not stay up in place as it should with the hammer down. Includes a Miniart 1/2 scale bullet mold with ivory handles that cast a single conical ball. Includes what looks to be an antique walnut hinged top case with push button latch. The top with a missing escutcheon & with a crack in the middle running from left to right. The interior bottom not fitted and lined in a green felt. The interior top unlined. I have the flask, combination tool, and capper available separately to finish out the accessories if you’d like to case it properly. Price: $$950.00.
