!!!!!SOLD!!!!! Miniart 1/2 Scale Colt 1911 A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol With 14 Karat Gold & Silver Grips, Cased, Serial # OR52 !!!!!SOLD!!!!!

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/2 scale Colt 1911 A1 made by Miniart in Moscow, Russia about 25 years ago.  4 1/4″ long overall with a 2 15/32″  .22 caliber rifled barrel.  Parkerized finish. The two piece grips made by master jeweler Roberto Hinze of Houston, Texas.  The grip bases are sterling silver overlaid with 14 karat gold.  At the top on each side is a typical Mexican eagle on cactus with a snake in it’s beak.  Below that is an arched rectangular panel, and on the bottom is an Aztec calendar.  These grips were specially made for a customer of mine back when I worked for Imperial Miniature Armory who had the same style grips on his full size 1911 that he had won in a shooting contest. Serial # OR 52.  The chamber part of the barrel that shows through the ejection port is stamped “COLT 45 AUTO”.  The right side of the frame is marked “UNITED STATES PROPERTY M1911 A1 US ARMY, OR52” in two lines.  The left side of the slide marked “PATENTED APR. 20, 1897.  SEPT. 9, 1902.  COLT’S PT F.A. MFG. CO, DEC. 19, 1905.  FEB. 14, 1911.  AUG. 19, 1913.  HARTFORD CT. USA” in two lines, along with the Colt rampant Colt logo.  The rear of the slide with the usual serrations on each side.  The arched mainspring housing and slide release also serrated.  Checkered hammer spur, magazine release, and barrel bushing.  Fixed front sight and dovetailed windage adjustable rear sight.  Fully functional and will feed, chamber, extract, and eject the included four solid steel dummy cartridges when the action is cycled manually.  Complete with a hinged top key lock walnut casing made by Wayne Hoosier of Dickenson, Texas for Imperial Miniature Armory.  The interior French fit and lined in purple felt.  Includes the brass case key, a miniature Olin WWII empty cartridge box that I made back when, and a miniature Colt instruction manual.  Near mint condition showing only the most minor signs of handling, I’d call it 98%..  There is over an ounce of 14 karat gold in the grips.  The gold alone worth about $1,900.00 in today’s (6/18/2025) market.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
