Project Description
!!!!!PRICE FURTHER REDUCED!!!!! This is a 1/2 scale Savage Model 1899 lever action rifle made by master miniature maker the late Mike Barrett of Minnesota. 22 3/4″ long overall with a 13″ round rifled barrel of .22 caliber.  Blue steel finish except for the lever which is case colored & the cartridge follower which is brass. The blue & case colors done by Doug Turnbull in New York. Straight grip, crescent buttplate.  Beautiful highly figured American walnut buttstock and forearm.  Dovetailed step adjustable sporting rear sight, dovetailed sporting front sight. The rotary magazine is not functional, otherwise fully functional. Complete with a nice mahogany hinged top case with magnetic latches made by Imperial Miniature Armory. The interior French fit & lined in a brick red felt. The rifle is in mint new condition. The case shows some scratches & handling marks. To the best of my knowledge, Mike only made four of these. Mike sold these unpolished & in the white 30 years ago for $3,500.00, plus about another $800.00 for the blueing & case colors by Turnbull make this a serious bargain at my asking price! Stock # JS-2. Price Further Reduced: $3,150.00.
