Project Description
This is a fantastically beautiful 1/2 scale Remington rolling block rifle made by the late Mike Barrett. This piece is a collaboration between master miniaturist Mike Barrett, master engraver Roger Sampson, stock master James Corpe, & firearms finishing expert Doug Turnbull.  Miniature rifles just do not come much better than this!!! 22 3/8″ long overall with a 14″ rifled octagon barrel of .22 caliber. Beautifully & extensively engraved & gold inlaid by Mr. Sampson with gold bands on the barrel at the muzzle & breech, gold bands on the top of the receiver, engraved gold gold bands bordering the sides of the receiver, & an engraved inlaid gold bison on the right side of the receiver. High polish black blue finish on the steel parts. Dovetailed globe target front sight, no rear barrel sight, (& no dovetail for one), elevation adjustable rear tang sight with cup disc. Highly figured American walnut forearm & buttstock, both checkered in a point pattern by Mr. Corpe. Horn buttplate. The hammer has both half & full cock, & the extractor is functional. A .22 short will almost chamber in the rifle, but it looks like the rim is just a little to big in diameter to fully seat in the chamber, plus the firing pin looks to be centerfire. Would not be much work to make it shoot! Sure to be the centerpiece of almost any miniature collection! Stock # CK-51. Price: $9,500.00.
