!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/2 scale Marlin Model 1893 octagon barrel rifle made by master miniaturist Mike Barrett of Minnesota. 20 15/16″ long overall with a 12″ octagon rifled barrel. The piece is in the white, which is the way Mike typically sold them. The metal parts are all hand machined steel with the exception of the front sight blade which is brass. The lower tang with Mike’s typical intertwined MB logo. Fully functional. Dovetailed front sight with brass blade. Dovetailed step adjustable sporting rear sight. The hammer has both half & full cock, the hammer spur is checkered. Beautiful 4X American walnut stock & forearm. A great chassis to duplicate your original full size 1893 Marlin rifle in miniature. Would be even greater to see it lettered, engraved, maybe even gold inlaid, then blued & case colored by Doug Turnbull. The price I’m asking is less than the price Mike charged for these 25 years ago! There is some minor etching from some very mild surface rust in a few places, but they should be no problem & will be polished out once the final polish is done before blue & case colored finishing is done.
