!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a wonderful double cased set of 1/3 scale Colt Paterson revolvers with accessories by master miniature maker Larry Smith of Florida. The revolvers have the extra long barrels which are very rarely seen singly, much less as a double set. Each revolver is 4 9/16″ long with a 2 7/8″ octagon barrel of .122 caliber. The frames are silver plated. the balance of the steel parts are beautifully fire blued with the exception of the hammers which are finished in the white. Both barrels have inlaid platinum bands inlaid at the muzzle, breech, and on the bottom underlugs. Both barrels have gold inlaid barrel addresses which read “-L.H. SMITH-FLA. U S A-” Both barrels also have the wedge screw which is sometimes missing on Larry’s Patersons. The serial numbers 125 & 126 are stamped into the bottom of the backstrap, bottom front of the frame, and the bottom rear of the barrel. Both revolvers will shoot the 2mm pinfire cartridges. Accessories include two extra cylinders, a three handled bullet mold with turned walnut handles marked with an “S” on top of the sprue cutter, a one spout powder flask which is a cartridge container and ejector that is marked on the bottom “L.H. Smith, Fla. U.S.A., 225, 226” in four lines, a walnut handled cleaning/extractor rod, a combination tool which is a screwdriver and loading lever, and what looks like a gold plated capper but is actually a patch box with the top hand engraved with the typical Paterson capper motif and the bottom stamped “L.H. SMITH, FLA. U.S.A.”. These cappers are very rarely seen in Larry’s cased sets. Everything is housed in the original Larry Smith mahogany hinged top casing with slide latch and a rectangular escutcheon with scalloped corners in the center of the top affixed by two screws. The case interior is French fit and lined in a burgundy velvet. The bottom of the case stamped “-L.H.-, SMITH, 125 & 126” in three lines. Mint condition with the exception of some expected tarnish to the silver plated frames. A beautiful and very rare Larry Smith set that will be the highlight of any Larry Smith miniature collection. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
