!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/3 scale Remington Elliott single shot “Mississippi” derringer by master miniaturist Larry H. Smith of Florida. 1 5/8″ long overall with 13/16″ barrel of .125 caliber. Beautifully engraved and has the one line Remington barrel address “REMINGTONS ILION. N.Y.” on top of the barrel. Nickel plated frame, barrel, and backstrap with fire blued hammer, trigger, & pins. Checkered hammer spur. Brass bead type front sight. Two piece beautifully scrimshawed ivory grips with brass escutcheons and a single screw entering from the left side. The grip screw finished in the white. The serial # 114 is stamped into the bottom of the barrel & frame. The bottom of the grip frame marked “L. H. SMITH”. Includes the original Larry Smith hinged top mahogany case. The case bottom stamped “-L.H.-, SMITH, 114, E” in four lines. The “E” signifies engraved. The case interior semi French fit and lined in an purple felt. Accessories include a brass handled steel cleaning/extractor rod with jagged end and 10 solid brass rounds of dummy cartridges with an impressed “H” headstamp. Mint new condition with the exception of some scratches to the case top. This is the first Larry Smith miniature I’ve ever seen with scrimshawed ivory grips! Stock # KB-01. !!!!!SOLD!!!!! For JD.
