!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a double cased set of 1/2 scale Wesson swivel barrel two shot derringers made by master miniaturist Larry Smith of Florida. 2 1/2″ long overall with a 1 1/4″ blue barrel group. Brass frames & front sights, the balance of the metal beautifully polished and fire blued. Two piece ivory grips with yellow brass escutcheons and a single screw entering from the left side. The ivory with a pleasing grain & aged patina. The top of one barrel on each marked “-L.H. Smith-“, the side of those same barrels marked “FRANK WESSON WORCHESTER MASS. PT. DEC. 15/68”. The serial number “113 & 114” stamped into the left side of the frames just behind the barrel group. The center hole of the barrel group with a hidden spear point dagger that slides forward & locks in place. The small brass pin at the rear of the dagger must be pushed forward to release & extend the dagger. The dagger locks in place when extended, and there is a release at the rear of the dagger on the left side that must be pressed in to retract the daggers. The dagger blades are finished in the white. Complete with the original Larry Smith hinged top mahogany casing with push button latch. The top of the case with an attached unadorned rectangular German silver plaque with scalloped corners. The case bottom stamped “-L.H.-, SMITH, 113 & 114” in three lines. The case interior is English fit and lined in a dark burgundy felt. Includes a yellow brass handled blue cleaning/ejector rod and nine rounds of solid brass dummy cartridges with impressed “H” headstamps. There are two lidded compartments, one empty & the other containing some round cloth cleaning patches. These will shoot the Top Weston type 3mm externally primed centerfire cartridges, none of which are included. Beautiful near mint condition except for some minor finish flaws on the top of one, and some minor nicks on the other, see photos. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
