!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/3 scale bronze barrel James 6 pounder field cannon made by Karl Furr in Orem, Utah back in the 1980’s. Karl Furr is the man who made what I call the “Rolls Royce” of miniature Gatling guns. Very few people know that he also made a few miniature cannons. The bronze barrel is 22″ long from cascabel to muzzle. The bore is 1 1/4″. The wheels are 19 3/8″ in diameter. Overall length is about 40 inches, and width is about 26″. This thing is beautiful, as is the case with any Furr miniature. All polished brass and varnished walnut construction with just infinite attention to detail, fir, and finish. This is a shooting black powder cannon and I’m sure would be a blast to shoot! This is the only one of these I’ve ever had the pleasure to offer for sale, but this is the second time I have been able to offer it. I sold this piece about 25 years ago, back when I worked for Imperial Miniature Armory to a collector in north Texas, and it was in the personal collection of IMA owner Joel Morrow. I visited with the buyer at the Tulsa show, then stopped by to visit him at his business on my way back home, where he offered to let me sell this for him on consignment. This is a BIG piece. Includes 5 solid brass cannon balls and the water bucket. The rammer/sponge and worm are missing. Stock # WB-1. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
