!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a small, not miniature, single shot tap action percussion pistol with screw off barrel & ivory grips made by John Maycock of England.  2 7/8″ long overall with a 7/8″ round barrel.  The frame and gripstraps are yellow brass & nicely floral scroll engraved.  The barrel is blued steel.  the hammer and trigger are steel & finished in the white.  The hammer engraved in the likeness of a fish with fine checkering at the tip of the hammer spur.  Two piece ivory grips with yellow brass escutcheons and a single steel screw finished in the white & entering from the left side.  Accessories include an ivory & brass powder flask, an ivory lift top cap container containing six of the proper percussion caps, an ivory handled barrel cleaning rod, an ivory handled barrel wrench, and a pliers type steel bullet mold with sprue cutter casting a single round ball & finished in the white.  All of the above cased in the original Maycock walnut hinged top case with engraved push button latch.  The case interior English fit & lined in an olive green felt.  The interior lid with the makers paper card label reading “John Maycock, GUNMAKER, ALL KINDS OF FLINT & PERCUSSION, ARMS OF GOOD QUALITY, MADE TO, SUIT ALL REQUIREMENTS., STOCKPORT”.  The barrel shows about 80% original charcoal blue, the balance turning a pleasing gray/brown patina.  The brass frame showing a nice pleasing aged patina.  The accessories are near mint, as is the case except for some minor discoloration to the lining.  Beautiful workmanship on the pistol & the accessories are wonderful!  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
