This is a 1/2 scale Remington rolling block sporting rifle by master miniature maker Jerry Missimer of Pennsylvania. 21 1/2″ long overall with a 14 1/8″ round .22 caliber rifled barrel. Blue finished steel parts except for the frame & triggerguard which are case colored. Two piece straight grained walnut stock & forearm. The sights are dovetailed into the barrel. The rear sporting sight with the typical step adjustable elevator, the front sight with a brass blade set into a steel base. I’m not sure exactly which model this is a miniature of as Remington had several different frame sizes including #1, # 1 1/2, # 2, #4, & # 5, but I’d guess this is a miniature of one of the larger actions, the #1, 1 1/2, or 2. The action is fully functional, the hammer with both half & full cock. Checkered hammer spur & breech block thumb piece. Carbine type steel buttplate. The barrel is .22 caliber, & rifled, but there is no chamber cut into the breech end of the barrel. The rifling goes all the way to the breech block. I’m not sure exactly how many of these Jerry made, but it’s only the second one I know of, & I knew Jerry back when he was making these. Beautifully & skillfully made, with great care to fit, finish, & proportions. Near mint condition, I’d call it 99+%, showing just a couple very minor handling marks. Price: $2,750.00.
