Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/3 scale flintlock Kentucky pistol my master miniature maker J. M. Hick of England, probably made back in the 1970’s to 1980’s. 3 7/8″ long overall with a 2 7/16″ blued octagon barrel. One piece highly figured burl walnut stock. The front sight is brass & dovetailed into the barrel, the rear sight is blued steel with a “V” notch & is also dovetailed into the barrel. The top rear of the barrel stamped with the letter “H”. The left side of the barrel stamped with the numbers “20” & “4”. One of these is the identifying number for this model, the other is the serial number, but I forget which is which. The lock assembly is blued steel, & the hammer has both half & full cock. The stock is mounted with brass furniture. The ramrod looks to be ebony. Complete with the original mahogany hinged top case with flip latch. The interior French fitted & lined in red cloth. The interior bottom front right corner has a rectangular brass plaque attached which is engraved “J. M. HICK, SIDEWAYS, KILMINGTON COMMON, WARMINSTER WILTS” in four lines. The case top inlaid with a shield shaped escutcheon. Excellent near mint condition & a beautiful little miniature flintlock pistol by a well known master maker. Stock # JT-23. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
