Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a cased pair of 1/3 scale Remington vest pocket derringers by Isaias Aguilar of Corpus Christi, Texas. Mr. Aguilar was one of the craftsmen who at one time worked for Tom Weston in Mexico city, Mexico, and possibly also for Fred Thacker in El Paso, Texas. Each pistol is 1 11/16″ long overall with a 1 3/16″ barrels of about .08 caliber. Both are fully functional & the barrels are bored through, but do not look to be chambered for the 2mm rimfire cartridge. The hammers have full cock only, and the hammer spurs are checkered. Both are nickel plated with two piece ivory grips which are pinned in place. The pistols are in excellent near mint condition, showing only very minor handling wear. A very nice pair of Remington Vest Pocket pistols. How do I know these were made by Aguilar? I was there when he delivered them! From the personal miniature collection of Joel Morrow. Stock #’s JM-58 & JM-59. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
