!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a cased pair of 1/2 scale Colt third model Dragoon revolvers made by master miniaturist Isaias Aguilar of Corpus Christi, Texas.  Mr. Aguilar was one of the craftsmen who made miniatures for Tom Weston in Mexico City, Mexico.  These were probably made back in the 1970’s – 1990’s after he had left Mexico & moved to Corpus Christi.  Fully functional, the hammers with both half & full cock.  6 5/8″ long overall with 3 5/8″ part octagon part round rifled barrels of .21 caliber.  The frame, hammer, & loading lever assembly are color case hardened.  The barrel, cylinder, trigger, wedge, screws, & loading lever catch are blued.  The backstrap & triggerguard are silver plated.  Nicely aged ivory grips with a beautiful very visible grain.  The top flat of the barrels hand engraved with the proper Colt barrel address.  The left front of the frame hand engraved “COLT’S PATENT”, in two lines.  The cylinder is also hand engraved, and very expertly done!  Checkered hammer spur.  The rear of the cylinders have one safety pin.  The revolvers are serial numbered “23 & 24” on the bottom of the barrel, frame, triggerguard, and grip.  The cylinders are also serial numbered as is proper.  The two revolvers have different loading lever latches, one with the early type, and one with the later type, otherwise they are identical.  Cased together in what is probably a non-original case with two brass oilers, a small walnut handled screwdriver with blue blade & brass ferrule, and a brass cleaning rod.  There is another recess in the case for a cleaning rod, but alas it has been lost somewhere in it’s travels.  It would be easy enough to make a replacement.  The hinged top mahogany case is French fit & lined in a purple velour.  The top of the case has two pretty severe cracks/breaks that might be repairable, but are beyond my skills.  The revolvers themselves are in excellent condition showing only very minor signs of handling, I’d call them 98%.  The silver plating on the backstraps & triggerguards has tarnished with age as you’d expect.  A great pair of hand made miniature Colt Dragoons by an obvious master!  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
