!!!!!PRICE REDUCED!!!!!
This is a 1/3 scale Remington model 95 over/under derringer by master miniaturist Hideaki Ishihara of Japan. You may know him as the maker behind the Navy Blue miniatures in Japan. This was made by Mr. Ishihara about 18 years ago, before Navy blue, and unlike his more current production which uses castings, this piece is milled from solid brass, the screws are steel finished in the white. A real precision miniature that even has the functional extractor and articulated firing pin! 1 21/32″ long overall with a 1″ barrel group. The top flat of the barrel marked “REMINGTON ARMS-UMCCO ILION, N.Y.”. Very finely checkered hammer spur & ejector. Two-piece rosewood grips with brass escutcheons and a single screw entering from the left side. Typical of Japanese miniatures, the barrels are not drilled through. There is also a blind steel pin installed from the bottom barrel that blocks both barrels. The pin hidden by the frame when the barrels are in firing position and is visible from the breech end of the barrels when the barrels are opened for loading, but not visible on the top of the barrel. Includes the original walnut hinged top case with flip latch and two nicely done miniature 1/3 scale dummy .41 rimfire cartridges. The cartridges have brass cases with an impressed “H” headstamp and what look to be steel bullets finished in the white. The case interior is French fit & lined in a dark blue felt. This mini9ature and the information on it was received directly from Mr. Ishihara. Stock #’s HI-01. Price: $850.00.
