Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/3 scale French L. Dolne “Apache” knuckle duster, brass knuckles, double action revolver, & dagger combination weapon. Folded it is 1 1/2″ long, 1 1/4″ high, & 3/8″ thick. With the knuckles & dagger unfolded, it is 3″ long, 1 3/4″ tall, & 3/8″ thick. The dagger is 1″ long X 1/4″. Brass frame & knuckles, blued steel cylinder, cylinder pin, & hammer spring. The rest of the metal parts are steel finished in the white. Folding trigger, knuckles, & dagger. This piece is chambered for the early somewhat smaller in diameter & longer 2mm pinfire cartridges, which are very difficult to find. To load, the cylinder pin is pivoted to the right, then removed forward to free the cylinder for loading/extracting. The cylinder pin is used for extracting the spent cartridges. The right front of the frame stamped “HK-1, L. DOLNE INV” in two lines. This is the second one of these I’ve seen by Hersch. The other was marked “HK-0”. Complete with a nice re-purposed antique brown leather hinged top case with swivel hook latch, French fit with a russet felt bottom lining with an off white silk lid lining. This type revolver was made famous by the French underworld figures of the early 1900’s known as Les Apaches, thus the name. Mechanically everything works perfectly and the piece is in near mint new as made condition. Stock # CK-146. !!!!!SOLD!!!!! To JG, Hersh’s daughter!
