Project Description
This is a 1/3 scale British Sten MK III sub-machine gun made by master miniature maker Gordon Heasman of England about 35 years ago. 9 13/16″ long overall with a 2 1/2″ barrel of .120 caliber. The miniature is made of mostly sheet steel with some machined parts, just like the full size Stens. Black painted finish except for the bolt and trigger which were finished in the white. Fully functional, but non-firing, & this is one of gorgon’s first 50 that he made, & this one is serial # GH08, stamped in the triggerguard bow. It has the extractor & ejector which all of his later Stens are usually missing. There are two functional magazines, taped together, made of sheet metal with a fading blue finish, don’t think I’ve ever seen one with more than one magazine! Includes the original Heasman wood shipping crate that is marked on the lift off top, “STEN MK III” with an upward pointing arrow centered below. Also included is what I will call a certificate of authenticity which describes the miniature & is signed by Mr. Heasman. Again, first one I have ever seen, & I’ve probably sold 30 or more of these over the years. The miniature is in great condition, showing about 98% of the original black paint. Usually the paint on these has considerable flaking with the under lying metal turning a gray patina. The crate is near perfect. Stock # CK-123. Price: $750.00.
