Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/2 scale Philadelphia Derringer made by Gilbert Ball of France. 3 1/8″ long overall with a 1 3/16″ smoothbore octagon barrel. This is a 1/2 scale miniature of one of the smallest Henry Derringers commonly called the “Peanut”. I guess you could also call it a 1/3 scale miniature of one of his larger Derringers. The steel parts have a fire blue finish. Sterling silver furniture. The bone stock shows a really nice aged patina and a very obvious grain pattern. The hammer has both half and full cock with a crisp action. The fire blue finish is starting to silver, mostly just on the barrel. The stock has several age cracks, none of which compromises the structure of the stock. The silver parts show some darkening from oxidation which is normal. Complete with a beautiful burl wood hinged top casing, the interior bottom French fit and lined in a dark teal velour. Stock # LC-43, !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
