!!!!!SOLD!!!!! George Jones Miniature Windlass Crossbow !!!!!SOLD!!!!!

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a miniature windlass crossbow made by master miniaturist George Jones.  7 1/4″ long  with one winding handle all the way to the rear with a 3 3/8  ” steel bow finished in the white.  The bow stock is made of wood, maybe rosewood or ebony.   The bow string is multi strand, & wrapped at the ends & center.  There is a brass trough lining the top of the bow where the bolt would rest when loaded.  This is BY FAR the most complex of all the different crossbows made by Mr. Jones with multiple brass pulleys and tiny braided steel cables.  There is more going on here than I know how to describe, so look the photos over closely & see the skill, workmanship, & attention to details.  Marked on the stand base “20 GJ 05, MADE FOR FOR KENNITH WHICHARD, JR.  MADE BY GEORGE W.
