!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/8 scale Winchester high wall Schultzen style target rifle made by master miniature maker George Jones of Van Nuys, California in 1992.  Featured on page 258 of the book “The Art of Miniature firearms – Centuries of Craftsmanship”, and in the October 2015 issue of the Miniature Arms Journal on pages 27.  Winner of NRA silver medal # 6 in 1993.  5 13/32″ long overall with a 3″ barrel of .06 caliber.  Features include a fancy scroll finger lever, a Swiss style hooked target buttplate, long range rear tang mounted rear sight, a palm rest for offhand shooting, a detachable Malcolm style brass telescopic sight, a two piece cleaning rod, a wood muzzle tompin (muzzle plug), a wood handled screwdriver, 12 rounds of dummy ammunition, cleaning patches, a chamois leather cleaning cloth, and a piece that I’m not sure what it is.  The action is fully functional, the hammer with half & full cock.  All housed in the original Jones walnut key lock hinged top case with case key.  The case interior is partially French fit and partially English fit, & lined in an olive green felt.  The case bottom with numerous compartments, four of which have walnut lids with steel knobs.  Includes several pages of documentation from the previous owners including copies of magazines articles where this piece was featured and information on Mr. Jones.  Mr. Jones is well known for his extremely small scale miniatures.  His miniature firearms have been featured in several museums, museum tours, and are included in some of the finest & largest miniature collections know.  He is also well known for his miniature work for the movie industry, particularly the movie “Titanic”, and producer James Cameron has George Jones miniatures in his private collection.
