!!!!!SOLD!!!!! Full Size Antique Colt #2 Thuer Single Shot Derringer !!!!!SOLD!!!!!

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a full size antique Colt # 3 Thuer single shot derringer, the real deal!  .41 short rimfire caliber.  Nickel plated finish except for the hammer & trigger which are case colored, & the blued screws.  Two piece checkered walnut grips with brass escutcheons and a single screw entering from the left side.  .  Serial # 6444 stamped into the bottom of the barrel & gripstrap.  The sides & top of the frame lightly engraved.  The top of the barrel with the Colt barrel address.  Checkered trigger face, barrel release,  & hammer spur.  The hammer with both half & full cock.  The hammer must be retracted to half cock to open the barrel.  There is a checkered button on the right side which when pulled rearward releases the barrel, which pivots to the left for loading.  The barrel still retains about 90% of the original nickel plated finish, with some flaking at the right rear near the pivot & the muzzle.  The frame shows no nickel & some very light etching.  It’s possible it may have been silver plated?  The grips are in excellent condition showing about 90% of the original varnish.  The bore is bright & shiny with very strong rifling, but does show some small areas of pitting.  Stock # BK-72.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
