This is a 1/3 scale Colt third model dragoon revolver that I believe to have been made by Fred Thacker in El Paso, Texas back in the 1950’s – 1960’s. Thacker and Tom Weston used many of the same craftsmen, so it is very possible this was made by Weston, or at least by his craftsmen. 5 3/8″ long overall with a 2 3/4″ barrel. Nitre blue finish that is actually blue, not black. Yellow brass blade front sight, triggerguard, and backstrap. Checkered hammer spur. One piece rosewood grip. No markings. This is a nice looking and well made piece, and the first one like this I have ever seen. It does have some condition issues though. There is some blue flaking on the cylinder, a small area of blue loss with minor pitting on the left side of the barrel lug just below the wedge, and some minor wear to the sharp edges. This had some functional issues when I bought it, but they have been remedied by Ernie Emrich & it now functions flawlessly! Price: $1,500.00.
