Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is an original display stand made by Edmund de la Garrigue for one of his 1/2 scale 1921 Thompson sub-machine guns with the 50 round drum magazine. The walnut base measures 9 9/16″ X 4 3/16″ X 11/16″. There is a curved wood support lined with green felt for the bottom of the magazine, and a blue steel rod that would rest into one of the recesses for one of the buttstock screws. There is a 2 15/16″ X 7/8″ brass plaque held in place by two brass flat head screws that is engraved “COLT THOMPSON SUBMACHINE GUN, MODEL 1921, CAL. .45 ACP, EXACT 1/2 SCALEMODEL, By: E. H. de la Garrigue, U.S.A., RICHARDSON, TEXAS”. in five lines. The bottom has four black rubber feet held in place by silver colored flat head screws. I have seen several original de la Garrigue Thompson display stands, almost all were for the M-1 model, but I’ve never one for a drum magazine as nice as this. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
